The 2026 Health Recommendations for Travelers issued by the High Council for Public Health are based on the latest international epidemiological data, the international scientific literature, and the availability in France of preventive measures such as vaccinations, health products, and protective equipment.

They are intended for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, midwives, and pharmacists) who advise travelers during consultations, at international vaccination and travel advisory centers, in pharmacies, or in occupational health settings. They can be usefully supplemented by training in travel medicine, such as that offered by several French universities or by the Society of Travel Medicine (SMV).

The 2026 edition is also published simultaneously online on the website of the Ministry of Health, Family, Autonomy, and People with Disabilities: Health Recommendations for Travelers—Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity, and Families. These recommendations will be updated as new knowledge becomes available.

Significant additions and changes compared to the 2025 edition are highlighted in orange in the text.
