The High Council for public health (HCSP) 2025 health recommendations for travelers are based on the latest international epidemiological data and literature, and on the availability in France of preventive measures in terms of vaccinations, health products and protective equipment.

They are intended for health professionals (doctors, nurses, midwives and pharmacists) who advise travellers, in consultations, at international vaccination and travel advice centers, in pharmacies or in occupational medicine. They can be usefully supplemented by training in travel medicine, such as that offered by several French universities or by the Société de Médecine des Voyages (SMV).

The 2025 edition is also published online on the website of the French Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families: Recommandations sanitaires pour les voyageurs - Ministère du Travail, de la Santé, des Solidarités et des Familles. These recommendations will be updated as knowledge evolves.

Significant additions and changes compared with the 2024 edition appear in green font in the text.

The main changes in the 2025 edition deal with dengue fever, Chikungunya, mpox and invasive meningococcal infections for vaccinations, and Oropouche virus disease for arthropod-related risks.
